Quick answer: what packaging options are available for safety pins?
Safety pin packaging for B2B buyers falls into four groups: bulk packing in polybags or cartons, wholesale boxes, retail-ready packs such as printed boxes or blister cards, and private-label packaging with your own brand. The right choice depends on your sales channel, order quantity, destination market and whether the pins will be repacked after arrival. Suvik Overseas offers bulk, retail-ready and custom packaging, and you can discuss it with your specification when you request a quotation.
Why packaging matters for importers
Packaging affects unit counts, stock handling, shelf presentation, shipping damage and what your customs broker sees on the packing list. A wrong pack configuration can mean extra repacking, short counts or retail boxes that do not meet a buyer's requirements. Decide how the goods will be stored, shipped and sold before you place the order.
The four packaging types
1. Bulk packing
Polybags or cartons suit garment factories, textile businesses, industrial users and distributors that repack on arrival. State the quantity per bag, box or carton, and the total pieces in each shipping unit.
2. Wholesale boxes
Distributors often use inner boxes, gross packs, polybags and master cartons. Confirm whether the quote refers to pieces, gross (144 pieces), boxes or cartons. A box does not have a fixed number of pins, so ask for pieces per box.
3. Retail-ready packs
Printed boxes, plastic boxes or blister cards are made for sewing shops, supermarkets, general merchandise stores and online sellers. Review dimensions, print quality, product count, barcode placement and shelf presentation before approval.
4. Private-label packaging
Your brand name, logo, colours, barcode, product information and languages appear on the pack. Setup and printing affect the quotation and the minimum order. See the private-label guide.
Choosing packaging by buyer type
Garment factory: bulk bags or cartons for easy handling in production.
Industrial buyer: bulk cartons for secure storage and transport.
Wholesaler: boxes or gross packs sorted by size.
Retailer: retail boxes or blister cards sized for the shelf or peg.
Online seller or brand: branded packs with barcodes and clear product information.

Barcodes
Retailers and marketplaces use barcodes for receiving and checkout. U.S. and Canadian retail usually uses UPC. UK, EU and Australian retail commonly uses EAN. Use the identifier assigned to your own product by your barcode issuer. Do not use an assumed number. Approve the artwork proof, including a barcode scan test, before mass production.
Export carton and pallet details
Carton strength: choose cartons that protect the product from moisture and handling damage.
Unit count: state boxes per carton and pieces per box.
Dimensions and weight: ask for carton size and gross and net weights for your freight quote.
Palletisation: confirm pallet size, stacking and wrapping if you need pallets.
Shipping marks: agree carton labels and marks before dispatch.
The packing list should match the cartons. See export documents.
Does packaging change the MOQ and price?
It can. Standard bulk packing is generally simpler than printed retail boxes or blister cards. Custom printing adds artwork, plates or digital setup and carton preparation. Ask for the product MOQ and the packaging MOQ separately. See safety pin MOQ explained.
For Suvik Overseas, the standard MOQ is 750 boxes, and it can be discussed and adjusted after negotiation, depending on the order.
